    My Weekend

So all in all I would say that it was a pretty good weekend. Now that hubby has this good job we actually have extra money to go do things like we used too. Which helps the fighting situation tremendously. Hubby had a 3 day weekend this week, no overtime. So we enjoyed spending the day together Friday, playing with the kiddo and doing things around the house. We had hoped to mow the grass but of course it rained.

Saturday was a blast. We woke early and headed south to enjoy watching hubby’s younger brother participate in the Special Olympics (he has down syndrome) he did well and it was so much fun to watch. Afterwards we all headed to dinner and enjoyed a great meal with Hubby’s family. After we finally returned home we decided that we were going to enjoy some of our own fun by taking our daughter to her first dirt track race (one of our favorite past times). She LOVED it! Each round she would pick out a car to root for (usually one with green on it, since it’s her fav color), and would cheer them to the finish line. :)

Then Sunday was a total lazy day. We slept in, played some games, caught up on some of our shows on the DVR, and just had an all around good day.

The only thing we didn’t get to was watching the Dr. Phil episode. Mostly because there was no “church school” for the little one because we slept in too late. So, like I said previously, I rather watch it when she isn’t around so we can watch with no distractions.

We did however watch the very first episode of “Married with Children”, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of FOX. Hubby and I laughed the entire time we were watching it because it sounded EXACTLY like us. It seriously sounded like they had recorded some of our key arguments and played them out on television. Of course that aired way before we were even thinking about the opposite sex but it was hilarious & scary at the same time. :)

So now we begin another week and I have lots of things planned for the little miss and myself to keep us busy why daddy works. Every day is a different challenge, some easier then others. I know that we are working through this slowly and our marriage is the best when we enjoy each other. I just wish that he would enjoy me more and our marriage would be a whole lot better.

    So till the next time….
